Continuous monitoring is reserved for intensive care and a small number of high-risk beds. On every other ward, a patient is checked on a round and then unobserved until the next one. Whether or not a bed carries a monitor, nothing is aware of the room in between, so a fall, a bed exit, or a patient on the floor waits to be found at the next check. Welfare One brings continuous awareness to every room, not just the few that can be wired. It senses the room, not the patient's physiology, and prompts the team when something in the space needs a person.

Privacy by design
The sensor sits in the ceiling. There is nothing for a patient to wear, charge, or remove, and no fixture anywhere in the bed space that could present a ligature point.
Ultra-wideband radar senses presence, position, and movement without forming an image. No camera, no microphone, and no biometric data is stored.
Radar reads movement through bedding and clothing, so a patient can rest covered and undisturbed while the team keeps continuous awareness of presence and movement.

Pending regulatory approvalInpatient care is the setting where Welfare One Clinical will matter most. Clinical is a future extension of the same platform, on the same hardware, pending regulatory approval. It is not available today, and nothing described above depends on it.
Clinical is intended to measure heart rate and respiration continuously and without contact, from the same ceiling sensor already in place for Core.
It will learn each patient's normal range over time, so the day's signals can be read against what is typical for that person.
Clinical is designed to identify patterns that may indicate deteriorating health and surface them to staff as early prompts. The clinical judgement stays with the team.
Welfare One Core is available now. Welfare One Clinical is pending regulatory approval. When approval is obtained, an existing Core deployment becomes Clinical-ready through a backend configuration change, on the same sensor and the same server. No hardware change and no reinstall.
