Continuous monitoring is reserved for intensive care and a small number of high-risk beds. On every other ward, a patient is checked on a round and then unobserved until the next one. Whether or not a bed carries a monitor, nothing is aware of the room in between, so a fall, a bed exit, or a patient on the floor waits to be found at the next check. Welfare One brings continuous awareness to every room, not just the few that can be wired.
